Zoya Akhtar‘s Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, a 2011 coming-of-age film, has etched a special place in our hearts. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol; the film followed the story of three childhood friends who decide to take a bachelors trip to Spain and end up discovering themselves. The film not only received huge applause from the audience but also garnered great reviews from film critics. It left such a deep remark on our minds that all of us have been dying to see it’s sequel. And guess what, Hrithik Roshan too shares the same feeling. In a recent interview, when asked about the reports of a sequel being made, he said. “I am aware of that, but not many film-makers can make such movies. So, I have to call Zoya [Akhtar] once more, and say, ‘Please write somthing, and if you think Iam good enough, please cast me in your film(smiles)’. I guess I will have to beg her. But I think it [the sequel] will happen maybe three to four years from now.”Talking further about the film, he added, “ZNMD was harder than any other films that I’ve done. First, it’s not an author-backed role, ans the entire film is in a lighter vein. So, there is no drama or other such crutches. It’s like a soft breeze with which you just have to align yourself and let things flow. I am glad that I got to experience that, because it’s another world of cinema that I love so much. I am also looking forward to doing morr films similar to ZNMD, especially with someone like Zoya [Akhtar].”Hrithik should stop worrying because Zoya had cleared this long ago that if at all a sequel is made it wouldn’t be without the primary cast. “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2 can’t be made without Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay. If it ever happens it will have to have them or it will never happen,” she said. Farhan and Abhay, too, are keen on making the sequel. We say start making the film, already!
